Tea strainer lamp radiates artistic beauty

Designers often channel their creativity to highlight the recycling initiative in a fun way. When people view these amazing works of art and design, they are inspired to join the initiative, or the very least support the designers in their green conduct. Marina Rudinsky, an Israeli designer, has unveiled her tea strainer lamp that will stun you with its quirky yet beautiful aspects.

Recycled Tea Strainer Lamp

The design is definitely a product that will never be mass produced by a company. Only an imaginative designer is more willing to explore the possibilities. Marina Rudinsky has created an alternative light fixture from a collection of tea strainers. Two tea strainers are fixed together in the shape of a bulb after a string of Christmas lights has been packed into them. Multiple tea strainer bulbs are strung together in a bunch with the help of strong iron chains and hung from a free standing stand.

The entire effect is that of a striking artistic piece with sleek curved lines and rounded lights, complimenting each other well. The dangling tea strainer blubs are constructed to fall in a graceful arc to enhance the symmetry of the design.

Marina’s art piece would be a nice asset to a home with casual décor. Onlookers will appreciate the luminosity of the bulbs and how it lends a bright glow to the space it adorns. A close look at the lamp makes it appear as if little buzzing fireflies are trapped inside the bulbs. You can replace the Christmas lights with energy efficient LED lights for a more eco friendly curio.
