Reclaimed wood crafted into exotic chandelier

We’ve been covering a lot of stories on recycling and how it not only helps conserve the environment, but also creates employment opportunities for people. Recycled goods are a big hit among the eco conscious with many being uniquely created to set them apart from commercially manufactured products. We recently came across a uniquely built chandelier that’s made out of reclaimed wood from construction sites. The handcrafted item would be perfectly at home in a fantasy based world too with its whimsical appearance and artificial candles peeking from between the twigs and branches.

Naturally Superior Painted Twig Chandelier

The painted twigs come in shades of white, orange or turquoise. The hickory based chandelier holds six artificial candles to provide sufficient illumination. We have no word on the maker, however, we do know that it doesn’t come cheap, selling at $1,395.00 per unit.

Eco friendly consumer products are hitting the market with increasing force. As we slowly realize the importance of going green, manufacturers too are coming to the notion that if they want to keep their businesses running, they need to start producing eco friendly materials. Not only such products have a positive impact on the environment, but many are artistically designed to create items that are functional and unique. What we love about recycling is the fact that it can be combined with artistic touches that make them perfect additions to home décor, workplaces and virtually anywhere else.

Examples like the hickory based chandelier only go to prove how stylish recycled goods can be. They’re hardy too and look much better than artificially made goods from plastic. Once they wear out, you don’t need to worry about them lying around and unable to degrade. Many can be composted relatively easily, especially if they’re made out of wood, to make them even more eco friendly.
