Dubai recently boarded the โgo greenโ wagon and the latest reports have indicated that all the mosques that will be built in Dubai from next year will be totally eco friendly.
The initiative of eco friendly mosques by Dubai
This is truly a commendable announcement and the report also stated that these mosques will also reduce the consumption of electricity and water by no less than twenty five percent. Tayeb Al Rais who happens to be the secretary-general of AMAF Dubai recently announced that the construction work of the first eco mosque is already half way done and the mosque will open in the first quarter of the next year. Al Rais gave away a lot of details regarding this new eco friendly mosque which will be called; Khalifa, the Merchant.
He said that all the future mosques that will be built in Dubai will follow the methods to be sustainable and reduce their consumption of power and water plus they will also keep a check on the harmful gases that are emitted due to the use of air conditioners. Tayeb Al Rais also added that the construction work of the minaret is complete and the workers are busy doing the decoration on the interior and exterior areas of the mosque. An area of 105,000 square feet will be covered by this new mosque.
The process of water heating for purposes such as heating abulation water and for imam will be carried out with the help of solar panels. The facility and recycle and purify the water will also be provided in the mosque. The construction materials that have been used in the construction process are sustainable in nature. It is a wonderful initiative taken by Dubai and it is worth taking inspiration from. The use of innovative and advanced technology can be clearly seen in the building of the mosque and this technology will only help the mosque in becoming friendlier to the environment.
