You can go there for sightseeing or you can interact with the natives of the place. It’s best if you visit the rice fields in April or May as that is the time when they are greenest. Buses go directly to Banaue from Manila. So it won’t be hard for you to get there.

If you are going to Banaue then you must also go to Batad. This place has rice terraces just like Banaue but it is more secluded and peaceful. Batad is situated at an elevation of 3,280 ft. To get there you can catch a jeep from Banaue.

Minalungao National Park lies in a very secluded region of Neuva Ecija. The enchanting light blue water of the Peñaranda River and the myriad explorable caves will make you fall in love with this place.  To get there first catch a bus from Cubao for Gapan City and from there hire a tricycle.
