smell of sweat

We all have times when our body odor can be bad. While this is common during the summers, sometimes it can also be due to some medical condition. No doubt, the deodorants in the market do help to take care of the odor, but as we all know, they contain various kinds of chemicals. These chemicals are not only bad for our skin, but can also pollute the environment in various ways.

Thankfully, you do have other ways that you can use to stay fresh at all times. One such way is to use homemade deodorants. The best part about these ideas is that they are all natural and you can make them easily by using different things from the kitchen or local grocery store. Here are few ideas and recipes of how you can make deodorants at home.

Shea Butter Deodorant

Shea Butter

  • Coconut Oil – 3 tablespoon
  • Baking soda- 3 tablespoon
  • Shea Butter- 2 tablespoon
  • Organic cornstarch or Arrow root(optional) –  2tablespoon
  • Essential oils (optional) – depending on how much fragrance you want

Process

  • Melt the coconut oil and Shea butter over medium heat using a double boiler. Be sure that you do not use this boiler for any other purpose. If you want, you can also use the micro oven to melt the Shea butter and coconut oil.
