Fisker Atlantic, which will debut this week at the New York Auto Show, has kept many on their toes for spying its features and other details. Its images first appeared on a Czech website and shots revealed the cars to have a licensed plate bearing the name, ‘Atlantic’. You will also experience déjà vu with the looks of the car, which are quiet similar to Karma, the model Fisker is lined up below.
As far as the engine of the plug in series hybrid is concerned, it is speculated to have something similar to the turbocharged BMW four cylinder N20 that will act as a range extending generator. Although the electric specifications of the car are not known yet, the only thing that seems confirmed is there will be two electric outputs, one with 300Kw, which will be drawn from the battery capacity of 20kWh.
The car will have a specific body design, with special interiors that will be in tune from sports car to luxury cars. The production of the car is likely to begin by the end of 2013 as there are certain financing problems that are facing the company at the moment. The expected price of the car is quoted to be around $50,000.
