Construction of a stupendous underwater structure dubbed as the ‘Water Discuss Hotel’ is underway in Dubai. The architects, Deep Ocean Technology (DOT), are building this marvelous structure in the shape of a spaceship. The upper half of the hotel, in the shape of a flying saucer, will peek above the surface of water while the base that sinks under water will hold another set of discs down below.
The disc at the top is really enduring and will be able to hold out against natural calamities like floods and tsunamis. Also, in the event of natural disasters, the disc situated underneath, will surface to the top. Three sturdy legs supporting the structure hold lifts and stairways to commute from the level above to the one provided underneath. Also, the safety standards in the building are very stringent.
The hotel will have 21 rooms located underwater, at a depth of 10 meters, from where you can view all the sea creatures at leisure. A bar and diving center are also located underwater. The roof of the disc located above water is truly spectacular. It holds a helipad, palm trees and a spacious lounging area. If guests want to get a glimpse of sunshine, then they can stay at the level above water, while they can take in the breathtaking marine view at the zone below.
The rooms have massive glass panels fitted in the front so that guests can enjoy the sea view. They will be able to zoom the massive glass screen thanks to macro photography. Thus, they can marvel at even the tiniest sea creatures very easily. A lighting system will illuminate all the marine creatures and underwater flora for you. If you like a luxurious vacation spots, diving and marine habitats then this is definitely the place for you.
