Duo: An electric vehicle infused with advanced user friendly features

We have come across a wealth of innovative conceptions tailored for those low emission romps around tight city corners. However, most of them tend to flaunt only their green credentials; thus relegating the importance of the driver. In this regard, designer Scott Tan has taken the more novel and ambitious route, by focusing on the intrinsic ‘user experience’. The end result was the conceptualization of the ‘Duo’, an electric vehicle infused with convenient advanced technologies.

Integrated Mobility 2012 DUO

Exhibiting a bantam hatchback like bearing, the sleek, edgy lines ultimately encompass a definitively stylish geometric shape of the car. This unique 3m long and 1.8m wide form is interspersed with large windows and windshield for improved all round view of the driver. Finally, the zesty demeanor is complimented by cornered LED headlights for greater efficiency and better visibility.

Coming to user’s scheme of things, the vehicle is infused with a slew of interactive systems for optimized driving experience. These include Integrated Network Systems (INS), Driver Assistance System (DAS) and finally Energy Management System (EMS). INS refers to a standard language of a wide spectrum of networks, which enhances our connection with real time info and updates. On the other hand, DAS insinuates artificially intelligent guidance software integrated with the Duo, which is similar to the SIRI app of iPhone.

Ultimately, arriving to the ‘green’ side of affairs, the car will have a Lithium Metal Polymer battery pack for increased range. Moreover, its charging attribute includes dual modes of powering up: wireless inductive charging and conventional plug in charging. And, this is where the third interactive scope of EMS will come into the convenient picture. This collective system can be synchronized with the charging facility, thus allowing the user to have full access to useful info like the battery status of the car, and the recommendation of charging time and pricing.
