You can even put a set of wheels underneath and turn one into a small mobile restaurant or office that will take you where your customers are.
The container apartment in itself might not be much, but the 18 square meter vessel offers you a chance to refurbish the interiors the way you want, and with a rent of just about $1/day, this pretty much makes for sound economics. It is a wonderful way of getting your small business kick started, or hooking it up on a set of wheels and setting off on a long trip. We obviously are not sure on the exact terms and conditions of the renting service, but they seem to offer plenty of options.
It also provides a good shelter for those who will not want to pay a hefty rent and are satisfied with basic utilities. There are plenty of workers who migrate from small villages in China to the big cities and they could well use such apartments as cozy homes. The idea is good both on an ecological and economic level and does away with the expensive hassles of construction.
