‘Wrap 100’ is a material used for wrapping hot fast foods such as burgers. This is no simple material, but an environment-friendly one – its biodegradable. Developed by Stanelco, the wrap allows moisture vapor to permeate out easily, without letting oil or moisture to pass through it.
The new material — recently receiving the FDA compliance for food contact applications — prevents condensation from occurring, unlike its waxed counterpart. The most important part of the material is its being fully biodegradable.
According to Stanelco, the material has passed its preliminary testing at a major quick service restaurant.
