Here is a good news for conservationists, who are up with their guns to protect the sharks, thousands of which die each year, by accidental hooking that is actually intended to catch deep swimming fish like tuna and swordfish. It is a smart, commercial fish hooking gear that deters shark with a magnet attached to it.

It has also own this year’s ‘International Smart Gear Competition’ with a $25,000 grand prize. The competition was hosted by World Wildlife Fund. This innovative invention takes the right advantage of some kinds of sharks’ magnetic-field-sensation ability. This mechanism wards the sharks off from the baited hooks. It is a major contribution to the alarming decline of sharks.
