It took 85 years in the coming but it has still happened and this time for a cause nobler than any at present in this world which is to save the world itself. Time chose to go green on the cover shedding the conventional red it has used for a long long time. The purpose behind the change is pretty clear for it wants US to realise that it is high-time the country starts battling the global warming threat.
The Cover has picked up the monumental Iwo Jima photograph sans an American flag which instead makes way for a tree. This very decision seems to have landed the famous magazine in trouble for its draws a lot of emotional attention from the Iwo Jima veterans but then we are here to jeer the green feat not the controversy! Time instead chose the picture to depict the fact that the US needs to prepare for the Global Warming just as they did for the World War II.
