To be very, very honest and plain about this, I have had something very similar to this since a few years now and it is nothing beyond a fancy six pin socket that you would be very familiar with. Mine is not as fancy as this one, but you can connect any six devices to it and yes you can switch it all off with one button which is right at your feet. So quite honestly, I’m surprised that it is even being made up in to something huge.
The energy saver bar has an extended foot switch that is just a few meters away from the whole thing and that probably is the only little advantage. I do not know where 1.5 meters is going to make such a huge difference in my home, but I honestly believe that the switch is just a fancy makeover of an old concept. If this is the way to go for energy saving, then this is nothing new. It is available at € 19.95 and mine was available at just about €2! Yes, it is more than cheap.
