So really, what is it with these Chinese people and walls? First they build this huge meandering wall in the mountains for no particular good reason and now they have one set up in the middle of Beijing that apparently is going to be used to transmit live broadcast of the upcoming Olympic Games (way to boost ticket sales you guys!). Now what I don’t understand is why they need to build a whole wall for watching the games when they have enough cheap Made in China (pun intended) TV sets to go around! Anyhow, I guess the world’s top athletes’ toned butts just look better on big screen so this Greenpix Zero Energy Wall located at the Xicui entertainment complex near the site of the Olympic Games is not all that bad.
What’s even better is that the wall uses a combo of the largest color LED display technology in the world in sync with an innovative photovoltaic system that lets it function on the energy it produces itself, kinda like a leaf does, so its just as green as the next tree! The Greenpix wall will get its first shot at fame later this month when they beam a bunch of live performances from leading Chinese, European and American performers on it after its launch.
