The Sustainable Shopping concept came into being through an intensive study of patterns, informational needs, and psychological aspects of the production and handling of groceries. Designed by Martin Hanberger, the system helps consumers make more informed choices in their daily shopping to help them ascertain whether a particular purchase contributes to global climate change or not. The system assigns a numeric value to a product and helps you ascertain how sustainable you want and can afford to be. Also doubling up as a price checker, digital map and shopping list maker, the device overlays your grocery store’s layout and plots out your entire shopping list to help you get through it in the least possible time.
