Called ‘Land Meets Sky, the designed concept is derived from the harmonious and balanced existence of nature. It reflects the LH’S brand in terms of its visual and technological cohesion with the surrounding environment. Numerous sustainable methodologies have been implemented at the micro and macro level, ensuring the strongest adherence to architecturally Green stipulations.

Advancements include multi storey interactive zones on the west, imbedded with intelligent skin that funnels cool air through the building. Natural ventilation ensures proper indoor air purification without the need for a cleansing device. With energy conservation in mind, the building was designed to reduce power consumption. It incorporates a renewable solar, electric and geothermal power generation system into the basic structure. The frame of the building resembles a leaf and utilizes a Building Integrated Photovoltaic system to produce its own energy.

Also, collected rainwater is used in bathrooms and for landscape irrigation. The 20 storey main building stands as a solar frame in front of the lawn with the aim to prevent sun burn. It covers the southern face of the tower and is impressive against the backdrop of the sky. The lawn functions as a public sports field for athletic activities.

Besides its attractive location near the scenic river walk in Jinju, South Korea, another appealing feature of the campus is the building’s integration of public and private program areas into a strong egalitarian community.
