Eco Factor: Zero-emission open source car design propelled by hydrogen fuel cells.

Riversimple has unveiled plans for an open source fuel cell can that anyone can access and build. The vehicle will be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell engine and its designs will be available on the internet. Dubbed the Hyrban, the vehicle’s development will be escalated by gathering criticism and comments by users.

The concept will speed up the development of fuel cell cars and electrical networks. The two-seat Hyrban will even be licensed at a low cost, with a fee as low as £7 per car. Open code computer software such as Mozilla and Linux will be used for this unique arrange of open source vehicles. The company plans to debut 10 prototypes by the end of next year, with a final plan to develop about 5000 cars each year in the UK.
