Electric motorbikes have taken the world by storm. These pollution-free rides are a great option for traffic-choked roads. Joining the league are RedShift Motorcycles that are as powerful as gas-guzzling beasts. BRD is out with two electric-driven bikes, namely RedShift MX motocrosser and RedShift SM supermoto that will leave riders impressed.
The mean machines will perform at par with dirt bikes when out on the road. If you thought that electric vehicles are not powerful, then read ahead. The middle name of these bikes is speed. They have been crafted keeping lovers of speed in mind and promise to send thrill-chills. The RedShift MX comes fitted with a 5.2 kilowatt-hour battery pack and produces an impressive 40 horsepower. It weighs 240 pounds sans any lights. But, when crafted in a street-legal manner, it will weigh 250 pounds. The chassis has dimensions and angles based on that of a standard MX. The torque and throttle response were exploited to the maximum while designing the bikes.
The battery fitted will help a rider cover a distance of almost 50 miles when fully charged. But, when used in a rough manner (like off-roading) the range will definitely be affected. Details about the RedShift SM supermoto will be revealed at this year’s Milan Motorcycle Show. The eco-friendly bikes are expected to come with a heavy price-tag of $15,000. RedShift Motorcycles will ride in the hearts of speed lovers, while keeping the environment clean and green. So, all you bike enthusiasts get ready for some green fun!
