Peugeot DL 122: A bike easily maneuverable even with luggage

Usually, luggage is carried on a bike in a backpack worn by the rider or a carrier on the handle bars or above the rear wheel. All these locations change the center of gravity of the bike, making it difficult to maneuver. With the new design, the compartment is located in such a place that the center of gravity relocates itself back where it was when there was no luggage on the bike. Center of gravity, which is average location of mass of bicycle, scooter or e-bike, plays an important role while you are riding any of them. More the weight is close to the centre of gravity less is the moment of inertia in roll, pitch and yaw. In case of a two wheeler no matter how they are powered, good handling can be attained with a compact center of gravity.

In DL 122, Peugeot has achieved all this using materials like wood, aluminum and leather, which also make the bike attractive. Since it’s a concept there is no word on the price but the design being so good its definite we will soon see it in production. After all, it’s a bike which is maneuverable even after luggage.
