ON-ONE: Futuristic one-seater electric vehicle to spurt through urban traffic

On-OneWhether we like it or not, the most distressing traffic jams are always for those short commutes across the city blocks; like those ‘limbo’ distances to our neighbor shopping centers or the haranguing trips to the close-by medicine store. During such short emergency situations, when ‘time is money’, public transportation systems tend to remarkably fail because of their comprehensive nature. Logically what we need is something more personal yet agile, and this is where the all-electric ‘ON-ONE’ comes into the picture with its novelty of nimble design along with a low emission standard.

Conceptualized by Nishi Norifumi, the bantam one-seater vehicle will be juiced up by gyro-stabilized rechargeable Li-ion batteries, while the sturdy 1000W motor will ensure that the contraption would remain charged for a period of 3 hours. All of these will be packed inside an ultra-petite 5 kg body, and allow the vehicle to spurt to a top speed of 12km/hr, while carrying a weight of up to 100 kgs. The convenient compactness of the conception will be equally succored by enhanced steering features and supportive components such as low level foot saddles on each side. This will make the whole design apt for commuting through those congestive urban spaces.

All the unique control attributes will further be efficaciously accentuated by inclusion of important safety features such as optimum width road tires and an advanced key-less ‘kill’ switch that automatically turns off the whole vehicle, once the driver gets of his/her mount. So at the end of the day we have a concept that has the potentiality to deal with cramped city traffic, which at the same can make a minimalist yet sustainable style statement.
