Eco Factor: Pavilion designed to be powered by solar energy.

Naco Architectures have unveiled the designs of the Monaco Pavilion that is under construction for the Shanghai World Expo 2010. The building expresses the identity of the client and combines hard construction with soft media creations.

The unique building will be wrapped in sea waves, where water will be pumped onto horizontal troughs of water under each layer of the building. These shimmering waves are then reflected into the glass with the help of a shiny wire mesh, which is lit by LEDs for extra color at night. The pumps feeding the troughs will be powered sustainably by solar energy.
