Eco Factor: Hybrid sedan concept uses a Formula 1-style KERS energy recuperation system.
Putting its best foot forward, Lotus has recently unveiled a new hybrid sedan concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Dubbed the “Eterne concept,” this four-door sedan uses the same Toyota-sourced 620-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 employed by the new Esprit. Slated for production in 2015, this green car will be offered in both rear- and all-wheel drive.
The Eterne concept is capable of reaching a top speed of 196 mph and can run to 60 miles per hour in just 4.0 seconds. The optional hybrid drivetrain uses a Formula 1-style KERS energy recuperation system. Featuring the same elegant and stylish shape as the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide and Audi A7 Sportback, the Eterne is certainly a style maker that many well-heeled would want to own. It will be priced at nearly $190,000.
