The BMW Hydrogen 7 luxury sedan has been introduced in the market with its 7 Series dual-fuel hydrogen combustion engine. BMW will be deploying a limited series of the liquid hydrogen-powered car in the US and other countries in 2007. It offers 75% more energy, in comparison to gaseous hydrogen compressed to 700 bar in a tank of the same size.

The eco-friendly car — equipped with a 260 hp (191 kW) 12-cylinder engine — accelerates from 0-62 mph in 9.5 seconds. With its top speed limited electronically to 143 mph (230 kph), the car features a dual-mode power unit, which is controlled at the touch of a button! It can amazingly switch from hydrogen to conventional premium gasoline.

Regardless of mode, the engine power and torque of the car remain the same.
