In India, land acquisition is becoming quite controversial. After investing huge amounts, these big wigs also get entangled in the nerve wrecking legal issues. In order to avoid this, more and more companies are trying their luck in overseas projects.
Recently, LiveMint.com has reported that Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. LTd of India is trying to buy land in South America as well as Africa. They are planning to start biofuel projects. Similarly, both Nandan Biomatrix Ltd and Labland Biotech Pvt Ltd, are also planning to get land in Malaysia.
Another interesting news is that Labland is collaborating with Portuguese company for a cultivation project to be started in Mozambique. It seems that Indian companies are determined to save Mother Earth even from overseas!
