I-GO unveils locations of solar-powered EV stations

Each of the solar charging stations will be installed like a canopy and shelter four cars, and charge two cars parked. Two of these spaces will be reserved for I-GO cars and the other two will be used by general public. The canopies will produce approximately electricity that will be able to power 6,000,000 miles. This is equivalent to about 17,000 gallons of gasoline for every year.

Besides the charging stations, I-GO also plans to add to its fleet of cars, 36 all electric hybrid vehicles. This will further give boost to the infrastructure it is has created and help it generate greater benefits for the community as the whole. Promoting the use of car sharing system itself has many benefits, including efficient use of resources, reduction in the ecological footprint, and it is both economical as well as convenient to use.
