With the car manufacturing industries’ increasing shifts to fuel-efficient and hybrid models, the Marine Corps do not seem to stay behind wih the trend. They too need to tackle the problem of ever-increasing energy costs. To power its next-generation Humvee, the Corps too is looking for more energy-efficient, hybrid/electric technology and fuel cell development.
The Army and Marine Corps collaborates for designing and using a modern wheeled utility vehicle, with a goal to replace the Humvee – named the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle.
