The world’s lowest density solid will now help in accelerating green technology implications. It is a strange material called Aerogel. It has a porous and sponge-like structure – more than 99% of its volume is in open space. GreenShift is getting innovative with its application in green technologies such as fuel cells, catalysts for emissions control, and applications for energy storage. It has announced to have entered an agreement to invest $500,000 in Aerogel Composite, an aerogel manufacturing company. A business development company, GreenShift Corporation‘s mission is to support companies that facilitate the efficient use of natural resources and catalyze transformational environmental gains.
