What is the first thing that comes to your mind when I say Notting Hill? If you happen to reside outside London and are not thinking about Julia Roberts then you must have missed the really charming romantic fun in the movie title the same. Anyway, though we have had plenty of news regarding celebs involvement in green causes in the last week, this has nothing to do with Julia Roberts. In fact, a new green home is taking shape in the back garden of the Notting Hill Villa and it will add to the green goodness of the already clean neighborhood.

The proposal is to demolish an existing bungalow built in the back garden of a Notting Hill villa in the 1960’s and to replace it with a new dwelling- a three bedroom house on ground and basement floors. The house is proposed as a pavilion sited within a verdant garden and is directly related to the complex site and its surroundings as an exciting, innovative building which captures sunlight, retains viewing corridors, sits harmoniously within its setting and creates spacious open plan living.

The site is being taken up by Gianni Botsford, Makiko Ito, Anahi Copponex, Kate Darby and Richard Green whoa re carefully designing the plan for the new green space that will save plenty of energy and will be much sought after property once it is all done. Do not be surprised if some big celeb buys the place so that they can get away from the prying eye of the media and relax in a green home. With the way things are in UK and in Europe, I’m guessing Cristiano Ronaldo could take it but if he moves to Real the maybe Wayne Rooney… What? I said ‘Maybe’.
