Now I will be very honest with this and tell you that probably there is no other guy on the face of the planet that must buy a screen like this other than me. I constantly waste too much power by leaving everything on and sometimes I just cannot help it with the situation that I get myself in to with my work. I suppose more than anything else, it is just sheer laziness that I really do not wish to switch everything off and then switch it on all over again. But then that is no excuse and it still wastes plenty of power. I suppose there are plenty among us who do the exact same thing; be it in a far less fashion.

Now here is a perfect solution for all us basically lazy souls who just end up wasting a lot of energy. This one does not require us to change our lazy habits, but it just takes care of our bad work. Fujitsu’s “Zero-Watt” Monitor claims to use absolutely no power when the display is in stand-by mode, which means two things: lower power usage and lower utility bills. This is not just something that is great for the planet, but it is also incredibly good for our own bills!

A nifty little switch automatically turns off the power of the monitor when your computer goes idle. When the PC becomes active again, so does the monitor, which is then powered back on, once the computer emits a signal. You’ll be able to get your own personal “Zero-Watt” sometime in the summer months of this year for around the best part is that the price of the new monitor will be the same as a regular one! Now that is a real bonus.
