The AFS Trinity Power Corp. of Seattle discloses the company’s new technology for its ‘Extreme Hybrid’ car. It filed a patent application Thursday. It is on a single gallon of gasoline or ethanol, the automobile will run more than 250 miles! Isn’t this attractive enough to lure one to buy it?

It is not only this, it can run without gasoline or ethanol for 40 miles, if pluged into a house’s electrical current overnight! And this would suffice for average daily U.S. commutes. And for longer trips, the vehicle will operate as a conventional hybrid, which efficiently burns gasoline or ethanol.

AFS Trinity CEO Edward Furia said,

The U.S. Department of Transportation estimates the average American drives 300 miles per week… The most efficient conventional hybrids get about 50 mpg, which means $19 a week… By comparison, the Extreme Hybrid will use less than $8 per week total for fuel and electricity.
