Eco Factor: Solar-powered lamp utilizes the sun to sterilize your home’s interiors.
Apart from bringing warmth and light to your home’s interiors, sunlight also sterilizes your home with ultraviolet light. However, since in most modern homes sunlight doesn’t hit all the rooms, industrial designer Yun Li has tried to bring the sterilizing properties of the sun to your living room with an energy-efficient gadget Yun refers to as the UVonion.
The UVonion packs a solar panel that charges a built-in battery. After sunset the lamp can be placed in your room, where its ultraviolet LED emits UV light to sterilize your home’s interiors. Since LEDs don’t emit heat, the lamp can be placed in any corner of your house or your wardrobe.
