Eco Factor: Concept lamp powered by solar energy.
Designed by Vincent Geraedts, the SolarMature looks just like any other lamp you might be having in your living room. However, according to its name, the lamp doesn’t depend on grid electricity to illuminate your interiors. The lamp comes with solar panels functioning as the lampshade. The designer sates that the SolarMature is a standalone solar lighting lamp that can be used as a garden light or as an ambient lighting system.
The SolarMature combines the cozy atmosphere of the living room with the freedom and feeling of nature. Solar cells are integrated within the product as the lampshade and are
designed as an essential part of the lamp instead as an add-on. When placed in sunlight, the lampshade recharges the built-in battery system, which powers the LEDs after sunset.
