Eco Factor: Energy-efficient Lighting fixtures.
UK’s first energy-efficient lighting company Ray Lighting has launched a stunning new range of fixtures that shows the twists and turns of energy-efficiency. Dubbed the Pipe Collection, the range has been designed by Herzog & de Meuron and manufactured by Artemide.
The illumination comes from 32W CFLs, which along with the aluminum reflector and random perforations allows the light to filter through the lamp, while saving energy in the process. The lights are priced at £445.00 and can be purchased from Ray Lighting’s store.
The Dark Side:
The lamp would have earned more green points if the designers had made use of LED lights instead of using CFLs.
