Eco Factor: Recycled cardboard furniture.
Designed by Pedro Gomes, the Compact concept furniture is made from cardboard and recycled polypropylene, which promises greener interiors to all eco-minded home owners. The furniture is designed to be shipped in the form of five flat boards, which eases transportation and also allows you to design custom furniture for yourself in minutes. Simply interlocking the boards in any form would create a furniture item, which along with being unique will be green as well.
The Dark Side:
Cardboard furniture mostly fails when durability is a consideration. Similarly for the Compact, wood glue might not be as sturdy as you’d really want.
