Eco Factor: Zero-emission concept vehicle designed to run on rechargeable batteries.
With the number of cars on the road on a steep rise, traffic congestion problems are set to increase and by the year 2020, driving a car on a street would nearly be impossible. Whangaparaoa student Harry Henriksen sees a solution to road congestion problems in an all-electric vehicle can morph into a motorbike at the push of a button.
Dubbed Switch, the all-electric vehicle for one passenger, allows the driver to choose between the comfort of a compact car and the driving ease of a motorbike. Aimed towards Austrian manufacturer KTM, the vehicle is designed to be powered by rechargeable batteries and is equipped with a hydraulic system to toggle between the car and the motorbike modes.
