Eco Factor: Concept bike powered by electricity.
Of the hundreds of reasons people aren’t actually keen on commuting to the office on bikes, the major issue is their sluggish speed and arriving to work laden in sweat. Industrial designer Chris Swoszowski has tried to provide an answer to these issues with a concept electric bike.
The bike is aimed for the year 2012, for a specific scenario (a person and a location) and uses the aesthetic of a car. This electric bike is designed for the agility and speed needed for New York City in the year 2012. The car is inspired by popular car brand Lotus.
In order to make the bike as light as possible, Chris has tried to use a carbon fiber body. Other specifications include Li-ion batteries (large intakes and exhausts for cooling) and LED headlights/tail lights.
