Eco Factor: Prefab house made from recycled materials.
To safeguard animals from the ever growing threat of humanity and other animals, nature has bestowed certain animals the quality to either change their appearances with the surroundings or blend into the surroundings. Anderson Anderson Architecture is using this unique ability in a newly designed prefab they call the “Chameleon House.” Just like a chameleon, the prefab can change its appearance according to the surroundings, which further change with the seasons.
Clad in galvanized metal and wrapped in a skirting wall made of translucent polyethylene slats, the house carries a special reflective wall cladding that gathers the light and color of the landscape, blending the structure into the seasonal color of the surroundings.
The Dark Side:
The designer doesn’t make any comments on how much the house will cost or where will the energy required to power the house comes from.
