With ethanol as the present buzzword for the oil-producing industries, and the world concerned with the effects of global warming, ethanol derived from corn stover i.e. cellulosic ethanol will soon be found in the global market. And, with gasoline’s price soaring high, Broin and Novozymes have collaborated to produce it in a cost-effective way.
Interestingly, the project dramatically cuts the cost of enzymes, which is required to convert cellulosic biomass from corn stover into sugars. Thus, this eventually will reduce the production-cost of fuel ethanol and other valuable products.
