It seems, very soon, tyres filled with nitrogen, and not air will be common, as Parker Hannifin Corporation and Get Nitrogen Institute — a non-profit organization — have joined hands to promote the use of nitrogen tyres.
The use of nitrogen in tyres is highly an environment-friendly option – it not only maintains a consistent inflation pressure for long periods of time, but also provide them with longer life.
Compared to vehicles running on underinflated or degraded tyres, this not just improves fuel efficiency up to 4%, but also relieves the environment from its already burdened landfill – by increasing tyres’ lives.
