India is flourishing in all aspects, except when it comes to building sustainable designs. That’s why Landmark Park, an IT hub in Gurgaon, designed by Christopher Charles is such an attention grabber! Built on 1.5 million square feet, the building provides 100% wi-fi support and 100% power back-up, quintessential requirements of an IT office. Designed to repel heat and insulate the interior work areas, a terrace garden in the sky court and irrigation by the structure’s water recycling systems add on to deliver a cool and pleasurable atmosphere for the staff indoors.
Rain water harvesting and ground water recharge are few, among the immense other features that’s been provided. Addtional features like a pool, health club etc only make u rave about the design a little more. At the end of the day, I personally think it’s superb that India is being a part of the ‘green’ race and coming up with full fledged environmentally sensitive plans, that apart from providing the basic facilities also help in cost-cutting and energy saving. This plan is just what our country needs, and is said to come into practice in the following three years.
