It’s amazing how wind energy can be a beneficiary in so many ways, however the students at Stuttgart University have taken it into another level by coming up with the concept of a ‘wind powered’ vehicle! Inventus Ventomobile, has three wheels, two bladed rotors on top with a diameter of two meters and 6kw wind turbine to make it run. The vehicle which weighs 100 kg and is quite unique as it uses wind turbines to harvest energy and translate it into torque on the ground. The Ventomobile will also be featured in the Aeolus Race in the Netherlands on August 23 competing against six other wind-powered vehicles, as the test results for wind tunnel testing and vehicle efficiency proved be extremely promising. These avid students of aerospace engineering have definitely fashioned a brilliant and stylish three wheeler concept, and its awesome that apart from solar energy now even wind energy can be used to the optimum level. The Ventomobile is proof to the endless possibilities of renewable energies.
