Solar power is dramatically taking over the energy-production sectors across the world. So, is also in Australia. But, Australia has done something incredible with the solar technology – it will be three times more efficient than regular solar cells!
Australia will soon be getting 500,000 solar cells, which were previously only used in space! A subsidiary of the defense industry giant Boeing, Spectrolab will do the job. The project will involve $10 million dollars.
Environment Minister Ian Campbell said,
The result is the world’s first, full-scale, ultra-high efficiency photovoltaic generator.
