Eco Factor: Concept two-wheeler powered by fuel cells.
The increase in the number of cars has made driving even more cumbersome. The highways and lanes of most cities seem to be clogged by a never-ending line of vehicles keeping drivers stranded for hours. Life gets easy with the use of two wheelers, which can easily be maneuvered in traffic, but two-wheelers are not meant for those who regard safety as the utmost priority.
Industrial designer Christopher Kuh has designed an ingenious way to solve both these issues with an innovative design that offers both sustainability and safety. The CitySailer combines the potentials of fuel cells and drive-by-wire technologies. The vehicle is powered by an electric motor that is mounted within the rear wheel.
The fuel cell stacks are placed in the V-shaped frame. For parking the rider pushes the steering levers forward parallel to the frame, which disposes the seat column and clears it for parking. In addition to an ecofriendly ride, the vehicle also keeps the rider safe, as it is designed to offer a seat belt and airbags to protect the rider in case of an accident.
