Eco Factor: Electric car to be launched by Audi at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Frankfurt Motor show is just around the corner, and car manufacturers are getting ready with their next-gen rides to steal the show. BMW recently unveiled their Vision EfficientDynamics concept, followed by Volkswagen’s L1 and now comes Audi with their R8 e-Tron concept.
The details on the vehicle’s engine are scant, but considering that the vehicle is being pictured along with solar panels, we do expect it to be powered by an electric or at least a low-emission hybrid engine.
The concept also shows a considerable change in the front grill, wheels and the rear end. The e-Tron also gets an all-LED headlight to save the juice in the vehicle’s onboard batteries. Interiors of the vehicle are centered towards the driver and consist of two screens, one to hold the navigation and the other to display what the rearview camera captures.
