Eco Factor: Artwork made from recycled materials and paper cuttings.
We all read magazines and sometimes we do really appreciate the products being promoted there. For eco-minded artist Bai Yiluo appreciating a product being advertised, especially watches, is using the images in an art installation, being referred to as “Demons”.
The sculptural installation has been exhibited at the Pekin Fine Arts in China and is constructed as a large mound that rotates on a horizontal skewer. The artwork mimics roast mutton kebabs that are usually sold on the streets of Beijing. The sculpture carries a collage of images of wristwatches taken from magazine ads, which are placed on a glossy surface made from Styrofoam and other found materials.
