Eco Factor: World’s most efficient combined heat and power system delivers 72% efficiency.
In Kibbutz Yavne, the Israel-based energy company ZenithSolar just recently saw its 3rd generation Solar Z20 combined heat and power system going past its parallel systems with a world record 72% solar conversion efficiency. The reliable cogeneration solar power system uses a semi-parabolic optical mirror for collecting solar energy to enable local community to continue with their electrical and hot water use.
Aside from converting solar energy into usable electricity, the system utilizes ZenithSolar engineered micro channel heat exchanger to convert the trapped heat into electrical and thermal power. Accumulated DC electrical power is fed to the utility grid after it is converted to AC power. A Primary Pumping System pumps the heated fluid (100 degrees Celsius) for use in industrial processes, facility heating, residential hot water, absorption air conditioning, water distillation and other applications.
