Eco Factor: Zero-emission scooter powered by electric batteries.
Electric vehicles have often been criticized for their low operating range, which makes them impractical for long distance commutes. While researchers over the globe are working on new battery technology that could store more energy, there are a few manufacturers who’ve tried out a different technique – swappable batteries.
British company Econogo thinks that swappable batteries can answer the prayers of all those longing for a clean, zero-emission vehicle and has unveiled the Yogo. The Yogo is an all-electric scooter that is being claimed to be the world’s first electric scooter with swappable batteries. The 11kg battery pack can power the Yogo for 22 miles and if you carry a spare battery along, you can obviously double the range. Prices will start at around $3000.
