Here is an interesting article in The Guardian. The Guardian poses a challenging question: Are you willing to give up flying?
The question was put to a panel of three writers, Sophie Poklewski Koziell, Safia Minney and Electra Gillies. Sophie Poklewski Koziell is a co-editor of Resurgence, who has given up flying after being guilty struck by the evil effects of flying.
Safia Minney, founder of People Tree, though not having given up flying due to the demands of her job has chosen to fly economy class through choice. She bases her choice on the resource issue – she reasons that if everyone flew, economy the world would need fewer planes.
ON the other hand, there is Electra Gillies, editor, Ecoescapes.co.uk who will not give it up due to the convenience factor. However, she is also environmentally conscious too and vouches staying at places that tries to minimize their impact on the environment.
