We all know that waste water carrying the detritus of human life and society are generally infested with millions of tiny microbes. But, with these microbes, they are not a ‘waste’ in a complete way. They can even solve your worries about the soaring electricity crisis in your city!
Some of these microbes break down the organic material in waste streams steadily, producing electrons in the process. And scientists, by harvesting these electrons, have created microbial fuel cells. A new research reveals how to create usable current by stacking such biological power plants.
