Trees are disappearing at an alarming rate; and instead of the green-forests, concrete forests are coming up all around the world. Trees are so integral to our well-being that even a potted plant in a office building helps freshen the otherwise polluted urban air. The firm of UArchitects (Emile van Vugt and Misak Terzibasiyan) from Pireaus, Greece, intends to make perfect use of the green, and have proposed to come up with Green Light Tower in the city of Athens.

The dynamic design of the building would allow it to interact with the environment, the sea, and the city of Athens. The architecture which plays with interactive light will also allow free movement of natural air through the building. The building would comprise of theaters, restaurants, coffee shops and hotel lobby with conference room on the first and second floors. The upper floors are available as office spaces and hotel rooms which would be very useful for the companies which set up their offices in this building.

The building is easily accessible by public transport, and has ample parking facilities for the private cars. The architects intend to make this building as a landmark in Athens and want it to be the thing to look for when one enters the harbor of Pireaus.
